You Are the Universe

The events of this cosmic love story take place in a time when Ukrainians have already conquered space.

Its hero is a guy from Khmelnytskyi, a long-haul trucker named Andrii. He travels through the universe, chatting with his onboard computer Maksym and listening to Ukrainian music.

After an explosion, Andrii remains the only living person in the universe. At least, that's what he thinks — until he hears Katrin, a scientist from France. Despite the enormous distance, Katrin and Andrii set off on a date — toward the only love in the world.

At the very heart of this story lies loneliness and the desire to find someone who needs us. Even if it means crossing an entire galaxy.

The world premiere took place at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film has won numerous awards at festivals in France, Italy, Germany, and Greece.

This film was included in the British Film Institute's list of the best films of 2024.

The lead role is played by Volodymyr Kravchuk, who currently serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
