The events of this cosmic love story take place in a time when Ukrainians have already mastered space.
Its hero is a boy from Khmelnytskyi, a long-distance truck driver named Andriy. He travels through the universe, communicating with the onboard computer Maksym and listening to Ukrainian music.
After an explosion, Andriy remains the only living person in the universe. At least, he thinks so until he hears from a scientist from France, Catherine. Despite the huge distance, Catherine and Andriy go on a date - towards the only love in the world.
At the heart of this story lies loneliness and the desire to find someone who may need us. Even if it requires crossing the entire galaxy.
The world premiere of the Sci-Fi film by Pavlo Ostrikov "You are the Cosmos", created by ForeFilms in co-production with Ukraine and Belgium, took place in the official competition of the international film festival in Toronto. The film has won many awards at film festivals in France, Italy, Germany, Greece.
This film made the list of the best films of 2024 according to the British Film Institute
The lead role in the film was played by Volodymyr Kravchuk, who is currently a serviceman in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His on-screen partner is the robot Maksym, voiced by Leonid Popadyk (who also serves in the military).
The Ukrainian release of the film will begin in spring, while viewers in Israel will see it earlier.
